The $445 monthly tuition per class is calculated with the goals of running Brooklyn Apple over 12 months, not on the goal of making a profit. This amount covers space rental and utilities, insurance, equipment, teacher salaries, food, transportation, and supplies.

The $155 difference goes into a Community Fund. We know that Brooklyn Apple families can afford different amounts of tuition from year to year and even during the same year. We also know that Brooklyn Apple families care about each other. Our Community Fund allows for more diversity in our student body, creates stability for the community, allows BAA to pay the bills, and make sit possible for us to offer classes to the widest possible range of incomes.
BIPOC families are given priority in distributions from the Community Fund.
Brooklyn Apple is committed to diversity within our student body. As a practical application of our diversity and inclusion goals, we prioritize BIPOC families needing financial aid to allow historically excluded families to access our unique educational model.
All monthly tuition payments higher than $445/month contribute to our Community Fund.
Families that can afford more than $445 in monthly tuition per class are asked to pay $600, but they are free to pay whatever they decide.
Families that need to pay less than $445 in Monthly Tuition indicate that they need to access the Community Fund on the registration form.
Families seeking a sibling discount are encouraged to indicate that they need to pay less than $445 monthly / child on the registration form. This discount will also come from the Community Fund.

Staff: (10,000$ per month) Our experienced and passionate teachers are the heart of our program.
Facilities: (3,700$ per month) We maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-equipped learning environment for your child. This includes rent for our headquarters on 5th Ave, which features an art room, woodshop, kitchen, library, and a large activity space.
Operational Costs: (700$ per month) Keeping the lights on and the learning materials stocked! This category covers essential expenses like HVAC, utilities, internet, educational supplies, and administrative fees.
A Non-Profit Philosophy:
While Brooklyn Apple Academy operates as a Limited Liability Company (LLC), we are a mission-driven organization. We do not seek to generate profit. Any surplus funds after expenses are reinvested back into the program to enhance the learning experience for our students. This might include:
